HK Contractors was responsible for the reconstruction of the Shoup Avenue and A Street intersection in Idaho Falls. Work included removal of six existing trees, installation of new water line, water services, fire hydrants, curb & gutter, sidewalk, new roadway installation, 13 new trees, decorative pavers, decorative rock enclosure and decorative light poles. HK Contractors supplied 768 tons of gravel and 277 tons of hot-mix asphalt for the project.
HK’s crews and subcontractors worked dilligently to meet project requirements. The intersection has always been very busy. Business owners were very concerned about accessibility and crews worked late nights and weekends in order to minimize impacts. The Idaho Falls Downtown Development Corporation praise HK Contractors for a job well done, saying, “We truly felt like you listened to our concerns and followed through on all our suggestions to make this improvement as painless as possible for the downtown. Your ability to get everything completed and the roads back open within the time frame first agreed upon was very helpful and appreciated.”
